BERRY SYSTEM GUIDE

X/Y-STYLE BERRIES WITH MULCH, PESTS & MUTATIONS
Berries in Pokémon Lazarus work differently than traditional Gen 3 games. The system resembles Pokémon X/Y's berries, with Mulch and Berry Mutations. Get the Wailmer Pail and Berry items from the Jusmail Town Berry Club.

BERRY MUTATIONS
Plant two different berry types next to each other for a chance to grow damage-reducing berries
HOW IT WORKS
Growing two trees of different berry types next to each other creates a chance that the harvested tree will produce extra damage-reducing berries. These are key for difficult battles and Nuzlocke challenges.
NOT AVAILABLE VIA MUTATION
Chilan Berry (Normal), Haban Berry (Dragon), and Roseli Berry (Fairy) cannot be obtained through mutations. They are rewards from the Berry Club after planting 20 berry trees.
PEST SYSTEM
Berry trees have a 20% chance of encountering pests based on tree color
When harvesting berries, pest Pokémon may appear and attack your berry tree. The species depends on the color of your berry tree. Defeating pests helps protect your harvest yield.
